Local Home Theaters

Description:
Let me take you on a visual stroll into the Draycott Theater located in Chadwick Subdivision. The entrance is flanked by rounded columns and an arched entry. First you'll find yourself in the theater lobby. The lobby consists of older era lighting, 50's style carpet, lighted movie marquees, a ticket window with the resident mannequin and the entrance to the concession area. To the left of the mannequin is a small raised walkway with walkway lights that takes you to the theater room itself. From there you'll find two rows of six theater seats on two different levels as well as a third level on the floor before the screen. The projector is an overhead projector above the seating area and there are Klipsch front and rear speakers built into the wall with an Infinity Sub tucked into the corner. Each seating level is also outlined by rope lights on dimmers. There are two levels of gold painted crown molding with lights in the theater as well as 4 old fashioned art deco style scounce lights on each wall. Beneath the theater screen is a small stage that allows kids to put on various shows from time to time. The movie poster on the right side of the theater is hinged and when opened reveals the stereo and theater components as well as the DVD collection. The theater seats themselves are full recline with 0 wall clearance and also have motion motors under each which, whevenever time allows, will be hooked up to a seperate amplifier that will rock the seats along with the sequence of the movie being watched! Most of these items were purchased via the internet, ebay and found at various shops around town for considerably less than what you might expect. If you have a theater you would like to show off here, send me an email and I'd be happy to post it! If you are considering a theater yourself and you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!
